Lyme has partnered with Old Lyme, our neighboring town to the south, to orm Regional School District No. 18. The district operates five schools in the area, including three elementary schools (one of which is located in Lyme), Lyme/Old Lyme Middle School and Lyme/Old Lyme High School.
The Lyme/Old Lyme public schools strive to create an environment that focuses on enabling children of all ages to reach their full potential as scholars, artists and athletes of character.
The Lyme-Old Lyme Schools is located in Connecticut, the United States. This state is one of the most densely populated states in the United States, with a mild and rainy climate and distinct seasons. There are three universities in Connecticut that are listed on the U.S. News American University Rankings Top 200. These three schools are Yale University, University of Connecticut, and Hartford University. Connecticut's per capita income ranks first in the United States, and the manufacturing industry is very developed. Students who choose to study in Connecticut have good employment opportunities after graduation. Coupled with the fact that Connecticut is not far from New York State, it is also very convenient for students to find a job in Manhattan after graduation.

Ian Neviaser
Neviaser graduated from Wesleyan University and Southern Connecticut State University. He received a director's certificate through the University of Connecticut's executive leadership program. In 1997, he began teaching in the Social Studies Department of New Haven's Professional Magnet High School. He transferred to Riverside College of Education in 1998 and Guilford High School in 2000. Neviaser accepted the position of assistant principal of Guilford in 2004, and was appointed acting principal in 2007. In 2008, he served as the principal of the High School in the Deep River Valley, and in 2010 became the assistant principal of the district.
He said: "I am honored and excited to have the opportunity to serve Lime and the old Lime community as the new superintendent. I know the schools in the school district have a long tradition of educating young people. I look forward to serving in the district Leadership role, and work with the education committee, teachers and staff to consolidate and continue this successful record."
In 2009, Neviaser was awarded the Connecticut School Association (CAS) William-Sislukowski Outstanding First Principal Award. He is a member of the Association of Connecticut Public School Principals (CAPSS), the American Association of School Administrators (AASA), and the Harvard Graduate Education Dean Center.
