On October 21, 2024, Mr. Wu Kejian, former Director of the Hong Kong Education Bureau, along with Mr. Ni and Mr. Xu, leaders of the Hong Kong DSE program, visited the International Department of Nanjing Hexi Foreign Language School for an exchange and guidance session.
As a leading figure in Hong Kong’s education sector and the Chief Advisor for the development of the Hong Kong DSE program in the Greater Bay Area, Mr. Wu has made significant contributions to the growth of the DSE curriculum. During the meeting, he introduced the global influence of the DSE program and shared his unique insights. He emphasized that as the only international exam that allows responses in simplified Chinese, the DSE’s distinctive advantages are increasingly recognized. Currently, the DSE is widely acknowledged by over 800 universities in more than 20 countries, offering Chinese students a more diversified and uniquely Chinese pathway for applying to universities worldwide.
After the meeting, Mr. Wu and his delegation, accompanied by staff, toured the campus library and the International Department. Mr. Wu expressed high praise for the department’s educational philosophy, curriculum structure, and teaching environment, and expressed hope for deeper cooperation and exchange in more areas in the future.
