Enhancing Teacher Skills: The 2024 Jiangsu-U.S. Collaborative Training Program

The Jiangsu Teacher Training Program, initiated by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, aims to enhance the professional skills and teaching standards of primary and secondary school teachers. The 2024 program is co-organized by the U.S. Public School District, with American teachers conducting a month-long training for teachers in Nanjing. Jaime and Jeffry, teachers from Wisconsin, shared methods through demonstration lessons and discussions on fostering critical thinking in English teaching and enhancing classroom engagement. They emphasized the importance of critical thinking and encouraged teachers to create opportunities for reflection and discussion to improve classroom interaction and students’ independent thinking skills.
